Does your neigh­bor spray his lawn with insec­ti­ci­des? Do you live within 25 miles of a con­ven­tio­nal fruit or vege­ta­ble farm? Have you been expo­sed to recent­ly deli­ver­ed packa­ges? Then use this brain shot.

This Brain Shot is an excel­lent tool if: 

  • You brea­the in an unfa­mi­li­ar or stran­ge smell
  • You are expo­sed to recent­ly deli­ver­ed packages
  • A neigh­bor sprays or tre­ats his lawn with insec­ti­ci­des or che­mi­cal fertilizers
  • Che­mi­cal tre­at­ments are car­ri­ed out near a resi­den­ti­al building
  • You are sub­jec­ted to urban tre­at­ment car­ri­ed out on the side of the road.
  • You see someone with a tank on their back and a hose in their hand spray­ing weeds
  • You see a small to medi­um sized truck dri­ving around your neigh­bor­hood with a lar­ge tank in the back and busi­ness signs on the side that say “Lawn Care,” “Ver­min Con­trol,” or some­thing simi­lar (which means it pro­ba­b­ly recent­ly clea­ned the lawn or spray­ed someone’s house)
  • You’­re dri­ving behind a truck with a tank on the back that’s lea­king a mys­te­rious liquid
  • You spend time in parks or on the golf course
  • Insec­ti­ci­de tre­at­ments are spray­ed in class­rooms, from pre­schools to ele­men­ta­ry schools to uni­ver­si­ties, and in dor­mi­t­ories, espe­ci­al­ly fre­quent­ly at the begin­ning of the school year
  • You live within 40 km of a con­ven­tio­nal fruit or vege­ta­ble farm during the gro­wing season

Ingre­di­ents for 1–2 Brain Shots: 

  • 1/4 cup tight­ly packed fresh parsley
  • 1/2 cup tight­ly packed fresh cilantro
  • 2 lar­ge lea­ves of kale
  • 2 radis­hes
  • 1/4 cup fresh or tha­wed fro­zen blackberries
  • 1 to 2 stalks of celery
  • 1/2 to 1 oran­ge or 1 to 2 tan­ge­ri­nes, pee­led (optio­nal)
  • 1/4 teas­poon Spi­ru­li­na

(The Ame­ri­can cup size cor­re­sponds to approx. 250 ml) 

Pre­pa­ra­ti­on:

Juice all ingre­di­ents in a jui­cer in the order lis­ted. Put through a sie­ve again. Stir in spirulina. 

Pour into a glass and serve! 

Tip:

Allow 15 to 30 minu­tes for ano­ther meal or drink befo­re and after this elixir.
